This week's Chanukah performance at the Jewish Home of Rockleigh really “lit” up the residents' faces. We sang “Schar Mitzvah Mitzvah,” “V'ahavta,” ”Eloki Nishiyama,” and a couple more songs. Many of the residents don't get visitors, and are lonely. I saw that they were so excited about our performance. One woman really made my day because she was clapping the WHOLE time and looked so happy. Rabbi Block was a great conductor of the choir. It was a “win win situation” because the choir and the residents both had a great time at the performance.
