In Their Honor

This week's Yom Ha'Zikaron program was very powerful and moving. We first spoke about a series of thoughts and feelings for this meaningful day, such a הכרת הטוב and a deep sense of ערבות. We then introduced RYNJ graduate, Hillel Kornwasser, to preface his 15 minute documentary, In Their Honor, in which he interviewed family members of five fallen soldiers. After the stirring video, each student received a card with a fallen soldier's name, some biographical details, and a פרק of תהלים to recite. The scene of these holy נשמות engrossed in תפילה was extraordinary. In just a few minutes, the entire ספר תהלים was completed as a זכות for the courageous Chayalim who gave their lives for our Home.
