You're Being Summoned

Students in Mrs. Braun's 8B ELA classes began jury orientation this week with an introductory video and activity. First, they were challenged with several statements to discuss and debate various perspectives. Through this and other activities through the week, students have been developing their ability to construct and compose thesis statements, distinguish facts from opinions, choosing evidence to support a claim, and other essential skills.
